Street evangelism in Buwenge

Buwenge Town Council · Community / town residents

Challenge

Many people in busy trading centres need a clear invitation to know Jesus Christ where they live and work.

Support received

Street evangelism outreach in Buwenge Town Council - conversations, Gospel tracts in the local language, prayer and worship with the community.

Outcome

Residents received the message of Christ with joy; tracts were shared openly and neighbours gathered for prayer and worship.

In Buwenge Town Council, our team stepped onto the streets to share the Gospel where everyday life happens - along dusty roads, near shops and among neighbours gathering at dusk.

Volunteers wore a simple invitation on their shirts - “Ask me about Jesus Christ” - and handed out Gospel tracts illustrated in the local language. Women and men smiled as they held the message of the cross; conversations opened doors for prayer.

The outreach also made room for worship: people lifted their hands, prayed and listened as the Word was shared. Moments like these are part of KAUMA’s spiritual support work - bringing Gospel hope to communities alongside care for orphans and vulnerable children in Jinja District.
