Goals and Objectives

These goals, aims and objectives guide everything we do at Kids of Africa Under Motherless Action Foundation Uganda (KAUMA Foundation Uganda).

Overall goals

  1. Provide access to quality education - ensure every orphaned and vulnerable child under our care receives quality primary and secondary education, scholastic materials, school fees support and mentorship to secure a brighter future.
  2. Promote child protection and safeguarding - create a safe, loving and protective environment where children are free from abuse, neglect, exploitation and discrimination.
  3. Improve health and nutrition - provide adequate nutrition, medical care, clean water and hygiene support for healthy growth and development.
  4. Develop life skills and self-reliance - equip children with practical skills, leadership abilities, financial literacy and vocational training that prepare them for independent adulthood.
  5. Provide emotional and spiritual support - nurture emotional well-being, confidence, moral values and spiritual growth for every child.
  6. Promote sustainable community development - implement income-generating and agricultural projects that support the sustainability of the centre and reduce dependency on donations over time.
  7. Encourage innovation and financial inclusion - leverage modern financial tools, including digital fundraising and global giving channels, to expand opportunities and connect children to international supporters.

Main aims

  1. Provide quality education support to orphaned and vulnerable children, including school fees, uniforms, scholastic materials and mentorship.
  2. Ensure child protection and safeguarding by creating a safe, caring and supportive environment for all children under our care.
  3. Improve health and nutrition through provision of food, medical care, hygiene support and clean water.
  4. Promote skills development and self-reliance by equipping children with vocational skills, leadership training and practical life skills.
  5. Offer emotional and moral guidance that builds confidence, discipline and strong character.
  6. Strengthen community partnerships and sustainable projects that support the long-term growth and stability of the centre.

Objectives

  1. Enrol and retain orphaned and vulnerable children in school by providing tuition fees, uniforms, scholastic materials and mentorship support annually.
  2. Provide at least two nutritious meals per day to children under the care of the centre to improve their health and concentration in school.
  3. Facilitate access to medical care by supporting regular health check-ups, treatment and provision of essential medicines when needed.
  4. Implement and enforce child protection and safeguarding policies to ensure a safe and secure environment for all children.
  5. Conduct life-skills and vocational training programmes that prepare older children for self-reliance and employment opportunities.
  6. Establish sustainable income-generating projects (such as agriculture or small enterprises) to support the long-term sustainability of the centre.
  7. Strengthen partnerships with donors, well-wishers and community stakeholders to mobilise resources for continuous support of the children.
  8. Provide psychosocial and emotional support programmes that promote mental well-being, confidence and positive behaviour among children.
