The project is designed to provide safe and comfortable accommodation for 100 or more orphans, fostering their well-being, education and development. The budget is $100,000, covering all construction stages except land acquisition.
Objectives

- Sleeping quarters - dormitories with bunk beds for boys and girls.
- Sanitation - toilets, showers and handwashing stations.
- Kitchen and dining - space for meal preparation and shared meals.
- Study area - a library and study room for academic work.
- Playground - outdoor play space for recreation.
Budget ($100,000)
- Foundation construction (20%) - $20,000: digging, foundation and labour.
- Structural work - walls and roof (30%) - $30,000.
- Utilities (15%) - $15,000: plumbing, electrical and water systems.
- Interior finishing (20%) - $20,000: flooring, plastering, painting, windows and doors.
- Furnishings and equipment (10%) - $10,000: beds, mattresses, kitchenware, tables and chairs.
- Contingency (5%) - $5,000 for unforeseen expenses.
Timeline (about 6 months)
- Months 1-2: foundation and structural work.
- Month 3: roofing and utilities.
- Months 4-5: interior work and furnishing.
- Month 6: final inspections and handover.
